n M&M sales for the month remained robust YoY but sequentially were down by
9% due to fewer days in February.
n M&M sold 14,288 passenger UV's during the year as against 12,813 units sold
during similar period last year. Given elections in few states, we expect the sales
of UV's to pick up in 1QFY12.
n In the 4W pick up category dispatches remained healthy at 9,903 units. However
YoY growth of 13.4% remains well below the YTD growth rate of 42% due to
higher base coming into play.
n In the 3W segment sales grew by a strong 57% YoY to 5,725 units.
n Mahindra Navistar sales and Logan sales for the month stood at 900 units and
1,151 units respectively.
n Exports remained weak during the month growing by a mere 7.4% to 1,411
units.
n In the tractor segment the company has had a great year. February sales increased sharply by 37% YoY to 19,041 units. YTD tractor sales growth rate for
the company stands at an impressive 22.3%.
n Going forward the company plans to introduce new models across segments and
that should help the company to grow at a faster pace in relation to the industry
in FY12.
