Indian markets rebounded on positive global cues
• | Indian markets started October on a weak note, but rebounded strongly on positive domestic and international cues |

• | RBI's signal of a possible rate hike pause at the next policy meeting in December led to a rise in the rate sensitive stocks |
• | While India-specific concerns including inflation, interest rates continue to linger, the Sensex responded to the firm global markets. However, the Indian benchmark underperformed the global indices |
• | Sector-wise, the IT and Auto indices were the significant outperformers while the Capital Goods index was the major laggard |
Global markets were up on new measures to solve Euro zone debt crisis, but uncertainty is back
• | US market remained on an uptrend in anticipation of Greek bailout and solution for Euro zone debt issues as well as mixed set of earnings. |
