Just dial (JD) unveiled its Search Plus app and Omni services at its recent analyst meet. We are enthused with the soft launch of the much awaited Search Plus, which will enhance customers’ user experience across categories, enable fulfillment and Omni services will allow small & medium enterprises (SME) to go digital. We appreciate management’s initiatives to introduce differentiated products. However, we await signs of revenue traction led by increased mobile app downloads, acceptance of Omni services by SME’s and acceleration in paid campaigns. Maintain ‘HOLD’ with TP of INR567 (20x FY18E EPS).
JD life made easy app: To enable fulfillment
The Search Plus app seeks to integrate multiple verticals to enable transactions, provide review and social networking. The app also acts as an aggregator in select categories as well as provides a marketplace. JD has introduced voice-based command and build own maps to provide a complete experience. Sufficient efforts have been taken to improve user experience, which would be necessary to increase mobile traffic.
JD Omni: Aids SME’s to go digital
JD Omni services will allow SME’s to carry out end-to-end solutions from inventory management to sales enablement. The services will provide web-sites, access to market place and mobile apps thereby aiding businesses to go digital. JD will charge one-time installation fee of INR20,000 and monthly subscription fee of INR2,000. Management plans to hire 500 feet-on-street and 500 tele-sales to sell the services. It already has a 1,500 strong customer base (500 paid customers).
