Indian equity market fell further on Monday amid weak global and domestic cues. Both Sensex and Nifty dipped 0.70% each as selling pressure was seen in capital goods, financials, realty, power and PSU stocks.
The Sensex closed at 15379, down 112 points while Nifty slipped 38 points to end the day at 4613.
Major gainers were Tata Motors (4.44%), Coal India (1.89%), Reliance Industries (1.78%), Hindustan Unilever (1.07%), I T C (0.95%) and Sterlite Industries (India) (0.67%).
Major losers were Larsen & Toubro (4.06%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (3.70%), Jindal Steel & Power (3.32%), D L F (3.05%), State Bank Of India (2.91%), and I C I C I Bank (2.80%)
The Oil & Gas index gained 0.96%; major gainers were Cairn India (4.17%), Reliance Industries (1.78%), Essar Oil (1.47%) and G A I L (India) (0.15%).
The Capital Goods index slipped 3.48%. Major losers were Alstom Projects India (5.52%), BGR Energy Systems (4.88%), Bharat Electronics (4.87%), A B B (1.96%) and BEML (0.22%).
The Bankex index was down by 3.08%. Major losers were Canara Bank(5.13%), Bank Of India (4.86%), Federal Bank (4.62%), Bank Of Baroda (3.51%) and H D F C Bank (2.38%).
The Realty index was down by 2.89%. Major losers were Anant Raj Industries (11.62%), D B Realty (4.97%), Godrej Properties (4.4%), D L F (3.05%) and Sunteck Realty (1.49%).
Major losers in the mid – cap space were Alstom Projects India (5.52%), A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (2.63%), Aban Offshore (2.03%), A I A Engineering (1.56%) and A B G Shipyard (0.93%).
Major losers among small - caps were Trident (7.33%), A B G Infralogistics (2.5%), Aarti Industries (1.9%), Aanjaneya Lifecare (1.32%) and INEOS ABS (India) (0.65%).

Globally, while Asian indices ended on a negative note, European indices were trading in the green.
