KEC International secures orders worth `801cr
KEC International has bagged orders totaling to `801cr in the transmission as well as
cables segments.
In the domestic transmission segment, the company has secured three orders from PGCIL
totaling `224cr and one order from state utility APTRANSCO valued at `84cr on turnkey
basis. The scope of the three orders received from PGCIL include supply and construction
of 765kV lines (single circuit) and 400kV lines (double circuit) for projects in MP, UP and
Bihar. The APTRANSCO order is for the supply and construction of a transmission line
associated with the evacuation of power from Krishnapatnam.
In the international transmission segment, KEC International has won orders from Saudi
Arabia and South Africa, totaling `176cr. In addition to the above, the company’s wholly
owned subsidiary, SAE Towers, has secured orders of `150cr to supply transmission towers
to the US and Brazil. The company has also secured variation orders worth `60cr from its
current international projects. In the cables business, the company has secured orders
valued at `107cr. We maintain our Buy view on the stock with a target price of `115.
