Sales Traders Commentary
§  On Wednesday, Indian equity benchmarks continued their spectacular upmove for the seventh consecutive session on huge volumes, ahead of settlement day tomorrow for March. The Nifty touched the 5800 mark in an intra-day trade for the first time since January 25, but closed tad below the same level. Consumer durables, realty, healthcare, financials, auto and oil & gas companies’ shares rallied.
§  The Sensex closed at 19290, up 169 points, while the Nifty gained 51 points to 5787.
§  Major gainers were Cipla (5.17%), Jaiprakash Associates (4.19%), D L F (3.83%), Mahindra & Mahindra (3.46%), State Bank Of India (3.27%), and Maruti Suzuki India (2.94%).
§  Major losers were Hindalco Industries (1.15%), I T C (0.84%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.47%), Tata Power Company (0.30%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.28%), and Bharti Airtel (0.07%).
§  The Consumer Durables index was up 3.98%. Major gainers were Titan Industries (7.33%), Whirlpool Of India (6.72%), Gitanjali Gems (3.51%), and V I P Industries (2.5%).
§  The Realty index was up 3.14%. Major gainers were D B Realty (18.79%), D L F (3.83%), Indiabulls Real Estate (1.86%), Ackruti City (0.33%), and Anant Raj Industries (0.24%).
§  The Healthcare index was up 1.95%. Major gainers were Cipla (5.17%), Cadila Healthcare (1.88%), Aurobindo Pharma (1.17%), Biocon (1.07%), and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (0.45%).
§  The FMCG index was down 0.38%. Major losers were Nestle India (1.64%), Colgate-Palmolive (India) (1.28%), and I T C (0.84%).
§  Major gainers in the mid cap space were Alok Industries (4.95%), Alstom Projects India (4.14%), Allcargo Global Logistics (1.94%), A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (1.85%), and Aban Offshore (0.51%).

Major gainers among small caps were Abhishek Industries (6.85%), A K Capital Services (4.25%), Provogue (India) (3.46%), INEOS ABS (India) (3.06%), and A B G Infralogistics (0.44%).
§  Globally, Asian indices ended in the green, while European indices also traded in the green.
