· United Spirits plans to acquire at least two distillation units this fiscal. In September, the company bought 54.7% in Pioneer Distilleries.
· Adani Power is setting up 4,620 MW coal fired power plant at Mundra in Kutch district of Gujarat, consisting of four units of 330 MW and five units of 660 MW.
· Spanco has bagged `850mn Goa Electricity Board's IT project. The company had earlier won similar IT modernisation projects in Punjab, Maharashtra and Bihar.
· BHEL has secured contracts worth `780mn to set up three solar photovoltaic power plants.

· Pipavav Shipyard Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding for defence co-production with the Swedish group SAAB Dynamics AB, marking its entry into army and airforce segments and help the firm cater to the entire range of defence products.
