Buzzing Stocks
·        Loans worth `3.89bn ($85mn) issued by LIC Housing Finance were under probe by the federal investigative bureau in a financial bribery scandal. The company said the outstanding loans under scrutiny by the Central Bureau of Investigation were performing and the value of securities against the loans were at over `10 billion.
·        Ceat has acquired global rights of Italy-based Pirelli as per the news sources.
·        Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is expecting a resolution to the contentious royalty payment issue with Cairn India — for the Barmer oil fields — before it goes for a follow-on public offer (FPO) early next year.
·        After two revised deadlines, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has managed to get nine responses for its `14,000Cr aluminium project in Kutch, Gujarat. The companies are UltraTech Cement, Gujarat Foils, JSW Aluminium, Nalco, Aluchem (USA), Dubai Aluminium (Dubai), Jaiprakash Associates, Adani Group and Jindal Steel and Power.
·        Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services plans to raise up to `570Cr through institutional placement of equities to increase authorised capital to `190Cr and expand business.
