1. Tata Retirement Savings Fund NFO :

  • Provides retirement solution by offering choice of asset allocation to investors based on their life stage & risk preference.
  • An open ended scheme with 3 plans where equity component decreases as age increases.
Progressive     -  age upto 45 years    - equity component at least 85%.
Moderate         -  45 to 60 years           - equity component at least 65%.
Conservative  -  age above 60 years - equity component up to 30%.
 
  • On attaining 60 years of age, investors can withdraw 1% of the corpus monthly or 3% quarterly.
  • NFO already open & closes on 21/10/2011. 
2. National Pension System - An initiative by Government of India :

  • Any Indian citizen with a minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 60 can join.
  • Tier I account - non withdrawable account  mainly for retirement  purpose.
  • Minimum contribution for Tier I - Only Rs.6,000 per annum.
  • Investment choice - Active choice & Auto choice.
  • Choice of 6 Fund Managers.
  • GOI contribution of Rs.1,000 per annum for the next 3 years, subject to certain conditions.
  • Investment management available for a common man at lowest possible charges.
