Cement prices in Mumbai to be slashed by `7–8 per bag
Cement prices in Mumbai are expected to be cut by `7–8 per bag from July 5, 2011.
Cement prices have been dropping across the country since mid-May due to poor demand
on account of low pick-up in real estate and infrastructure activities. Prices are expected to
decline further in the next few days due to the intensification of monsoons. We are
currently Neutral on the cement sector as a whole, but maintain our Buy recommendation
on JK Lakshmi Cement due to its attractive valuations, with a target price of `57.
