Sales Traders Commentary
§  On Tuesday, Indian equity benchmarks posted a smart recovery in the last couple of hours of trade and ended on a flat note led by short covering. The Sensex and Nifty closed down more than 0.10% each. Sectors that led the downfall were consumer durables, oil & gas, realty, IT, and financials.
§  The Sensex closed at 19545, down 39 points, while the Nifty slipped 06 points to 5868.
§  Major gainers were Bharti Airtel (1.65%), Hindalco Industries (1.55%), Tata Motors (1.50%), Reliance Communications (1.29%), Jindal Steel & Power (1.10%), and I T C (0.79%).
§  Major losers were Hindustan Unilever (1.99%), Maruti Suzuki India (1.91%), Sterlite Industries (India) (1.56%), Reliance Infra (1.55%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.48%), and D L F (1.28%).
§  The Healthcare index was up 0.42%. Major gainers were Biocon (2.13%), Dr Reddy`s Laboratories (1.71%), Divis Laboratories (1.25%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (1.21%), and Glaxo SmithKline Pharmaceuticals (0.23%).
§  The Consumer Durables index was down 0.8%. Major losers were Rajesh Exports (1.83%), Bajaj Electricals (1.63%), Gitanjali Gems (1.54%), Whirlpool of India (1.09%), and Titan Industries (0.32%).
§  The Oil & Gas index slipped 0.35%. Major losers were Petronet LNG (1.05%), Reliance Industries (0.83%), Hindustan PetroleumCorporation (0.79%), Oil India (0.15%), and Indian Oil Corporation (0.06%).
§  Major losers in the mid-cap space were A I A Engineering (2.26%), Amtek Auto (0.99%), Aban Offshore (0.64%), A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (0.39%), and Core Projects and Technologies (0.14%).
§  Major losers among small caps were A K Capital Services (4.95%), A B G Infralogistics (3.41%), INEOS ABS (India) (1.76%), Abhishek Industries (1.13%), and Aarti Industries (1.03%).
§  Globally, Asian indices ended negative, while European indices were trading higher.
