Lupin announces patent license agreement with Abbott
Lupin and its subsidiaries, Lupin Pharma, Inc. and Lupin Atlantis Holding S.A., have
entered into a license agreement with Abbott Laboratories for various Abbott patents for
Antara (fenofibrate) capsules. The terms of the patent license agreement, however, have
not been disclosed. The stock is currently trading at 19.1x and 13.9x its FY2012E and
FY2013E earnings, respectively. Although it is a positive development for Lupin, we
maintain our estimates due to non-availability of financial details of the agreement and
maintain a Buy rating on the stock with a target price of `560.
