Sales Traders Commentary
§  On Wednesday, equity market snapped a six-day losing streak, led by sharp pullback as markets looked oversold in the previous sessions. All sectoral indices closed in the green, barring small losses in capital goods; short covering was led by same shares that got hammered in the previous sessions. Realty, metal, bank, auto and information technology were the leading sectors and rallied 2-3%.
§  Sensex closed at 19534, up 338 points, while Nifty was up 109 points at 5863.
§  Major gainers were Sterlite Industries (India) (6.49%), Tata Motors (4.83%), I C I C I Bank (4.47%), Tata Consultancy Services (3.28%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (3.13%), and Hindalco Industries (2.97%).
§  Major losers were Bajaj Auto (1.52%), Larsen & Toubro (1.43%), Hindustan Unilever (1.29%), Cipla (0.86%), Tata Power Company (0.86%), and Maruti Suzuki India (0.39%)
§  The Consumer Durables index was up 4.64%. Major gainers were Whirlpool Of India (9%), Bajaj Electricals (1.4%), Blue Star (0.7%), Gitanjali Gems (0.26%), and Rajesh Exports (0.19%).
§  The Realty index was up 3.27%. Major gainers were Indiabulls Real Estate (3.69%), Anant Raj Industries (3.3%), D L F (2.33%), D B Realty (2.28%), and Ackruti City (1.61%).
§  The Metal index was up 2.80%. Major gainers were JSW Steel (5.41%), Bhushan Steel (4.21%), Hindalco Industries (2.97%), Hindustan Zinc (2.45%), and Jindal Steel & Power (2.13%).
§  The Capital Goods index was down 0.18%. Major losers were Larsen & Toubro (1.43%), Gammon India (1.15%), Thermax (0.68%), Bharat Electronics (0.45%), and Crompton Greaves (0.43%).
§  Major gainers in the mid cap space were ABG Shipyard (5.55%), Aban Offshore (4.36%), Alstom Projects India (3.22%), A I A Engineering (1.71%), and A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (0.17%).
Major gainers amongst small caps were Provogue (India) (3.61%), Aarti Industries (2.54%), A K Capital Services (1.3%), Abhishek Industries (1.27%), and A B G Infralogistics (0.41%).
§  Globally, Asian indices ended positive, while European indices were trading higher.
