§ On Wednesday, key benchmark indices closed another session on a strong note. Indices consistently maintained their uptrend this week. Buying nearly in all sectors Banking,Pharma,Oil and Gas and positive global cues helped the market to continue its uptrend .
§ The Sensex closed at 19850, up 328 points, and the Nifty was at 5961, up 98 points.
§ Gainers were Cipla (6.20%), Tata Steel (4.93%), Tata Motors (4.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra (4.71%), Larsen & Toubro (4.62%), and Reliance Communications (4.39%).
§ Losers were Bharti Airtel (2.62%), Hero Honda Motors (2.50%), Wipro (1.15%), Hindustan Unilever (0.85%), and Maruti Suzuki India (0.71%).
§ The Metal index was up 3.34%. Major gainers were JSW Steel (6.19%), Jindal Steel & Power (4.13%), Hindalco Industries (3.64%), National Aluminium Company (3.5%), and Hindustan Zinc (2.82%).
§ The Banking index jumped 3.22%. Major gainers were Bank of Maharashtra (4.45%), Andhra Bank (3.83%), Bank of India (3.36%), Bank of Baroda (2.15%), and Allahabad Bank (2.04%).
§ The Capital Goods index was up 3.17%. Major gainers were A I A Engineering (3.61%), BEML (3.16%), A B B (2.37%), Bharat Electronics (0.78%), and Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.19%).
§ The Realty index was up 3.08%. Major gainers were Anant Raj Industries (5.06%), D B Realty (4.98%), Ackruti City (4.08%), D L F (3.97%), and Indiabulls Real Estate (2.41%).
§ Globally, Asian indices ended in the green while Europe was trading positive.
