KS-Ownership Navigator September 2011 quarter changes (qoq). The September
2011 quarter witnessed selling of Rs83 bn by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs). FIIs
reduced their positions in Banking, Metals & Mining and Technology, but increased
their exposure to Consumers and Automobiles. Domestic institutions invested largely in
Banking, Metals & Mining and Technology and sold Consumers and Pharmaceuticals. FII
holdings (including ADR and GDR) in BSE-200 companies decreased to US$184 bn
(18.2%) as of September 30, 2011 from US$230 bn (18.3%) on June 30, 2011.
FIIs were net sellers in the September 2011 quarter
• FIIs bought Consumers and Automobiles; sold Banking and Metals & Mining
• MFs bought Telecom, Banking and Metals & Mining; sold Consumers and Pharmaceuticals
• Insurance companies bought Banking and Technology; sold Automobiles and Pharmaceuticals

• FIIs sold SBI, Infosys and Axis Bank; bought M&M, ITC and ONGC
• MFs bought SBI, Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel; sold ONGC, TCS and ITC
• Insurance companies bought Infosys, BHEL and TCS; sold M&M, Bharti Airtel and Maruti
Suzuki
Overweight/Underweight sectors
• FIIs are overweight Banking and Technology; underweight Energy, Consumers and Industrials
• MFs are overweight Industrials, Energy and Pharmaceuticals; underweight Consumers and
