n TVSM reported a strong month with volumes growing on a healthy note; both
YoY and MoM
n Company's overall 2W volumes for the month under review grew by 40.6% from
119,701 units in December 2009 to 168,359 units in December 2010.
n Scooters grew at a splendid rate of 93.8% to 41,804 units. With the launch of
Wego the company has strengthened their position in the scooter segment.
n In the motorcycle space, the company's performance was below expectations.
Company sold 61,404 units and registered a growth of 24% YoY. However
MoM sales were down by 2.5%. Unlike Wego, Jive sales have not been as per
expectations. December 2010 motorcycle volumes for the company have been
among their lowest in the past 10 months.
65,151 units. Moped sales were higher 34% YoY and 19% MoM.
n Exports for the company remained robust with volumes of 19,002 units. Export
volumes grew by 10.3% over December 2009 and 32.5% over November 2010.
n 3W sales for the month stood at 3,500 units.
n Company's YTD sales stand a tad higher than 1.5mn units and the company's
target of 2mn units in FY11 remains well within reach.
