n M&M's automotive volumes grew at robust pace of 42% YoY and 28% MoM to
34,062 units. Volumes for the month were broadly in line with the volumes
posted during the festive season.
n M&M dispatched 14,705 passenger UV's during the month that was 23.5%
more than December 2009 dispatches. MoM growth at 28.5% remained impressive.
n In the 4W pick up category (incl. Gio and Maxximo) the company sold 10,161
units as against 6,933 units and 7,699 units sold during December 2009 and
November 2010 units respectively. This segment has been the company prime
volume driver during the year with a YTD growth rate of 51% as against their
overall domestic volume growth of 27%.
n M&M sold 896 Logan's during the month.
n Export volumes for the month stood at 1,516 units.
n Tractor segment witnessed strong growth on back of good monsoons. Volumes
in this segment increased by 31% to 16,334 units for the company.
n Overall the company's performance during the month was quite robust. However, the company's YTD growth has been fuelled by the 4W pick up category
(incl. Gio and Maxximo). With increasing base in that segment the company will
find it difficult to sustain the current growth rates in the future.
