· L&T has received orders worth `1,030Cr for construction related works for the construction of commercial and residential buildings, including metro depot facilities and add-on orders from various ongoing projects.
· GMR Male International Airport (GMIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure has bagged a project to modernise, expand and operate Republic of Maldives's capital Male's International Airport.
· JSW Steel’s expanded capacity is expected to come on stream in the next few quarters. The company has also reduced its debt significantly in the September quarter.
· The board of Kingfisher Airlines has approved its debt restructuring plan. The airline had proposed to convert debt to the tune of ` 1,360Cr from lenders to shares.
· The Supreme Court dismissed a petition of Anil Ambani Group firm Reliance Infrastructure against its disqualification from a `2,100Cr contract for toll collection on five entry points to Mumbai. Reliance Infrastructure added around 300 sub-stations and 450-kilometres of cable network to its Mumbai distribution to enhance its capacity to reduce the demand-supply gap.
· MIC Electronics Limited has bagged multiple orders aggregating `23.89Cr. These include an order worth `6.63Cr from the UP New and Renewable Energy Development Agency for supply of LED solar street lighting systems and a `5.87Cr order from the Indian Railways to supply true-colour LED display systems and emergency lighting systems.
· Provident Housing Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bangalore-based real estate developer, Puravankara Projects is planning to invest around `3,000Cr by 2012 to set up four affordable housing projects in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
