§ On Friday, equity benchmark indices maintained their uptrend as financials, realty, telecom, oil & gas and select metal companies' shares saw good buying interest.
§ The Sensex gained 120 points (closing at 20,509), while Nifty added 32 points (closing at 6134).
§ Gainers were Reliance Communications (3.40%), Bajaj Auto (3.25%), Jaiprakash Associates (2.82%), Reliance Energy (2.51%), H D F C Bank (2.08%), and D L F (1.67%).
§ Losers were NTPC (1.06%), Sterlite Industries (India) (0.98%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (0.94%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.77%), Jindal Steel & Power (0.61%), and Bharti Airtel (0.20%).
§ The Consumer Durables space up 4.19%. Major gainers were Bajaj Electricals (2.83%), Titan Industries (1.86%), Whirlpool Of India (1.54%), Videocon Industries (1.11%), and Blue Star (0.26%).
