Sales Traders Commentary
    On Wednesday, the Indian equity market ended a volatile session on a flat note with positive bias. The Sensex and Nifty gained 0.20% each. Metal, capital goods, healthcare, auto stocks    evinced buying interest while IT, FMCG and realty stocks faced selling pressure.   
While the Sensex closed at 16896, up 37 points, the Nifty jumped 16 points to end the day at 5120.
    Major gainers were Sterlite Industries (India) (3.07%), Dr Reddy`s Laboratories (2.96%), Tata Motors (2.83%), Jindal Steel & Power (2.62%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.91%) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (1.68%).
Major losers were Tata Consultancy Services (1.71%), Coal India (1.53%), Bharti Airtel (1.29%), I T C (1.14%), Maruti Suzuki India (1.14%) and H D F C Bank (0.48%).
The Metal index jumped 1.28%. Major gainers were Hindustan Zinc (4.47%), Jindal Steel & Power (2.62%), JSW Steel (2.37%), NMDC (1.52%) and Bhushan Steel (0.52%).
The Capital Goods index was up 1.17%. Major gainers were BEML (2.24%), A B B (1.97%), Alstom Projects India (1.86%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (1.68%) and Bharat Electronics (0.51%).
    The HC index gained 1.16%. Major gainers were Cadila Healthcare (2.9%), Divis Laboratories (1.35%), Aurobindo Pharma (1.19%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (0.51%) and Biocon (0.49%).
    The IT index slipped 0.41%. Major losers were Tata Consultancy Services (1.71%), Financial Technologies (India) (0.83%), Infosys (0.32%), Oracle Financial Services Software (0.24%) and Tech Mahindra (0.09%).
    Major gainers in the mid–cap space were Alstom Projects India (1.86%), CORE Education and Technologies (1.06%), Amtek Auto (0.74%), Aban Offshore (0.61%) and Amtek India (0.54%).
    Major gainers among small caps were Aanjaneya Lifecare (2.03%), Aarti Industries (2.03%), A B G Infralogistics (1.07%), A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (0.39%) and Styrolution ABS (India) (0.28%).
Globally, Asian indices ended on a higher note while European indices were trading mixed
