4 Moving closer towards auction of spectrum, Trai has issued a consultation
paper on auction of spectrum to seek views of various stakeholders and
then give its recommendation to the Department of Telecom (ET).
4 The bilateral trade between India and Australia would double in the next
five years, The present volume of bilateral trade between the two
countries is $21 billion (ET).
4 The mining industry will have to wait till at least the monsoon session of
Parliament for passage of the new Mines and Mineral Development and

4 Tata Chemicals has signed loan facilities of $375 million.The proceeds will
be used to help refinance an $825-million facility signed in 2008. The new
loans mandated lead arrangers were Credit Agricole, Standard Chartered,
Siemens Financial Services, Bank of Baroda and State Bank of India (ET).
4 The board of Larsen & Tourbo would meet shortly to pass an enabling
resolution that will allow the diversified conglomerate to explore
inorganic opportunities for growth. The meeting is taking place on
backdrop of its ongoing negotiations to acquire a majority stake in
Hexaware. (BS).
4 Tata Power has said that it prefers to invest in wind and solar farms over
coal-fired projects, which have become impossible to develop.

Auto remains uncertain as it is not rushing to source a mini four-wheeler

(SCCL) to jointly develop some of the latter's viable mines in Andhra
Pradesh. The power producer is planning to pick up coal assets to fuel its
expansion (BL).

manufacturing facility in India to meet the demand in the country. The
company, that is investing £355 million in an engine plant in the UK said
the investments on the planned Indian facility could be lesser (BS).
