Sales Traders Commentary
On Friday, Indian equity markets bounced back, snapping earlier losses on the back of positive global cues. Both Sensex and Nifty gained 0.70% each and the latter closed above 4850 levels. Sustained buying was seen in metal, capital goods, power, realty, PSU and financials stocks.

Sensex closed at 16155, up 117 points. The Nifty jumped up 35 points to end the day at 4866.
Major gainers were Tata Steel (7.11%), Coal India (5.56%), Larsen & Toubro (3.84%), NTPC (3.11%), Jindal Steel & Power (3.07%), and DLF (2.64%).
Major losers were G A I L (India) (3.19%), Bajaj Auto (2.96%), Maruti Suzuki India (1.79%), Hero Honda Motors (1.25%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.18%), and Housing Development Finance Corporation (0.78%)

The Metal index jumped up 3.21%. Major gainers were Coal India (5.56%), Jindal Steel & Power (3.07%), Hindustan Zinc (1.27%), Bhushan Steel (1.06%) and Hindalco Industries (0.64%).
The Capital Goods index gained 2.86%; major gainers were Alstom Projects India (5.52%), A B B (4.04%), Bharat Electronics (3.97%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (1.68%) and BEML (0.12%).
The Power index was up by 2.39%. Major gainers were G M R Infrastructure (5.97%), A B B (4.04%), Reliance Infrastructure (2.03%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (1.68%) and Crompton Greaves (0.07%).
The Consumer Durables index was slipped by 0.4%. Major losers were T T K Prestige (2.33%), Blue Star (0.94%), Titan Industries (0.73%), V I P Industries (0.64%) and Rajesh Exports (0.47%).

Major gainers in the mid – cap space were Alstom Projects India (5.52%), A B G Shipyard (1.35%), Aban Offshore (0.39%), CORE Education and Technologies (0.1%) and Alfa-Laval (India) (0.04%).

Major gainers among small - caps were Reliance MediaWorks (15.89%), A B G Infralogistics (4.44%), Adhunik Metaliks (2.68%), Trident (1.38%) and Provogue (India) (0.39%).
Globally, Asian indices ended on a higher note while European indices are trading in the green.
