‰ The Cabinet has steered clear of discussing Vedanta Resources’
plan to buy Cairn Energy's Indian assets, further delaying what
could be one of the largest deals in the Indian oil and gas sector.

‰ The coal ministry has issued orders to revoke mining licences of
five blocks of  NTPC, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) and
Jharkhand State Electricity Board with combined reserves of
1,000mt (ET).
‰ HDIL will reportedly get approval for shifting around 700 families
over the next fortnight for development of Mumbai International

‰ NTPC  is targeting to add 1.5GW more in the Southern region

‰ Coal India  has demanded an amendment to the New Coal
